Business Development Manager

Hewett Recruitment is all about people. As an award-winning, B Corp Certified business, our purpose is to make a proactive and positive impact on people - with our mission being to provide the best customer experience and be the Three Counties most trusted recruitment agency. The only way to do this is to have the very best people working for us. Our outstanding team puts people first - delivering recruitment at its best by living and breathing the values that the business is built upon.

Hewett have been recruiting across the Three Counties and the surrounding areas for 45 years and are at the start of an exciting period of growth. To help drive this we are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our team and take our BD activity to the next level! As part of our ambitious growth plans, for the right person there is the opportunity to progress into a Sales Director role in the long term.

Working alongside Hewett's Directors, Marketing Executive and a team of experienced Consultants, you will identify new business opportunities to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow. Previous experience in the recruitment market is preferable but not essential, although you must have a proven ability in new business development, sales and relationship management in the B2B environment. You will of course have excellent communication skills and bring with you a sharp commercial acumen, eye for detail and ability to take a strategic view on things.

The focus will be on securing new Permanent, Temporary and Contract requirements with like-minded organisations who will value what we do for them. This will be done through traditional sales approaches and routes to market as well as coming up with innovative ways to reach new customers. You will also work with the team of Consultants to support their existing business development activities, thus maximising the impact of BD across the business.

The role will form a key part of our expansion plans, developing relationships and driving new business, to complement the repeat business already generated by a loyal client base built up over 45 years.
