IT Systems Administrator

About the Role
We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our IT Services Team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, resolving escalated issues, and supporting end-users. This position offers exposure to a wide range of enterprise technologies and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Configure, maintain, and monitor servers, routers, switches, and network devices.
  • Provide advanced technical support and mentoring to Level 1 technicians.
  • Implement and monitor security protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage incidents and requests using ticketing systems, adhering to SLAs.
  • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps accurately.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers for critical system issues and contribute to improvement strategies.
  • Participate in on-call duties as required and provide flexible support when needed.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a Service Desk or NOC environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server operating systems (e.g., MySQL, Tomcat, Active Directory).
  • Expertise in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing) and remote desktop technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL, Azure, and VMware is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with system performance monitoring, patch management, and cyber security.
  • Certifications in Microsoft, Linux, VMware, or ITIL are a plus.
