Job Purpose:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring production equipment runs efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime, and supporting manufacturing processes. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll be part of a proactive team committed to continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform PPM activities and monitor equipment performance to prevent failures.
- Enhance equipment reliability through proactive measures.
- Assist with installing and commissioning new machinery, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety.
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Document maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment history.
- Provide technical support to production teams to minimize downtime.
- Train production staff on proper equipment use and basic maintenance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of spare parts usage to manage inventory effectively.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Apprentice-trained or time-served engineer (mechanical or electrical bias).
- Proficient in mechanical, electrical, PLC control, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Competence in electrical system installations and repairs.
- Strong ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., Mango, PPM audits).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
