My client is a specialist manufacturer of custom components, and they are seeking a new Quality Engineer to join the existing team. As a Quality Engineer, your role will be very customer-orientated and the core responsibilities will be providing customer support, identifying & resolving quality-related issues and assisting with audits.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
- Liaise with and sometimes visit customer sites
- Fault find and resolve quality issues using 8D
- Ensure that produced products and materials meet industry standards
- Use IT systems such as ERP, BOM and the IMDS
- Provide technical support and customer service
- Carry out audits
- Assisting with continuous improvement projects
- Ensuring that the products meet industry and customer standards

Quality Engineer Requirements:
- HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering specialism.
- Previous experience working in a Quality position
- Understanding of APQP, SPC, PFMEA AND PPAP
- Experienced using 8D reports for root cause analysis
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques would be advantageous
- Must have strong IT systems experience such as ERP, BOM and IMDS
