Part-time HR Manager

Salary: £17.21 - £18.17 (£33,568-£35,423 FTE equivalent)
Hours: Part-time, 15-22.5 hours per week (initially 15 hours with potential to increase)
Location: Hybrid - Worcester (minimum 1 day/week) and homeworking - with the flexibility to split hours accross the week
Contract: Temp - with potential for a permanent contract in the longer term

About our client

Our client is a non-profit organisation supporting survivors of sexual abuse. They are looking for a skilled HR Manager to join their team and help deliver their mission through effective people management.

This is a stand-alone HR position providing both operational and strategic HR support across the full employment lifecycle for 84 employees. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing a value-added HR service that enables the organisation to achieve its strategic and operational objectives.

Part-time HR Manager Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle including selection, onboarding and induction processes
  • Lead end-to-end HR service delivery, from transactional processes to strategic initiatives
  • Provide professional, risk-based HR advice and guidance to managers
  • Manage our HR database and maintain accurate employee records
  • Monitor staff attendance and absence
  • Support employee relations issues including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management
  • Review and update HR policies in line with best practice and legislation
  • Lead staff engagement and wellbeing initiatives
  • Support key change management processes and cultural development
  • Provide HR reports to senior management and support payroll administration

Part-time HR Manager Requirements

  • Strong relevant experience in a similar HR role.
  • Confidence and experience to succeed in a stand-alone HR position.
  • TUPE experience
  • Experience with HR information systems and leading recruitment campaigns
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and its application
  • Strong employee relations case management experience
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion
