Job description

Dispatch and Assembly Operative

Our Client is a rapidly expanding UK manufacturer of art and crafts materials, specialising in block printing and scraperboard. They export their products all over the world.

They are looking to recruit a Dispatch and Assembly Operative to pick and pack their products. Working as part of a friendly team, the role involves using product code lists to pick and pack art materials. You will ensure paperwork and labelling are included, the correct protective packing materials are used, the correct outer boxes and pallet sizes are used, and liaise with delivery drivers.

The role also includes some assembly work, which involves picking components and packing them into containers.

You will need to be physically fit to carry out the role as it requires manual lifting and stacking of boxes, being on your feet all day, and manually shrink-wrapping pallets.

It is really important that you are a team player and are happy to be flexible about your work as you will be working across several departments. This is a great opportunity to work with different colleagues and learn new skills.

Our client prides themselves on the quality of their products, so it is vital that you have a commitment to high standards of work and customer service, and that you work hard. They trust their staff to ensure that these standards are met, and are always keen to hear ideas for how they could improve.
