My client is a well-established engineering company that specialises in producing innovative production machinery for the automotive, food processing and electronics industry sectors. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, your focus will be managing design projects from initial concept to delivery, 3D modelling and producing detailed technical designs using Solidworks.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities;

• Liaise with customer's to source their technical requirements
• Produce detailed engineering designs that will meet the client's exact specifications
• To provide technical support for the production team
• Manage designs from initial concept through to production
• Assist in ensuring that all project completion dates are met.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Experience;

• Degree, HNC, HND, Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience with robotics or automated machinery is essential
• Experienced in using Solidworks or Inventor CAD
• A good understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics would be advantageous
• Previous design experience of bespoke builds from initial concept to production
