Finance Manager
We are excited to partner with an innovative, high-growth business in the retail/e-commerce sector to find a Finance Manager. This is a pivotal role where you will be at the heart of managing and improving the financial health of the company, supporting key decision-making, and driving financial strategy.
As Finance Manager, you will:
Prepare monthly management accounts, with a particular focus on margin analysis, to understand financial results and identify trends.
Review balance sheet reconciliations, working closely with our external audit partners to ensure accuracy.
Manage sales ledger reconciliations across various business units - Ecommerce, Retail, and Trade.
Produce business reporting to support quarterly reviews and inform strategic decisions.
Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial operations.
Lead financial analysis to guide the business in key decisions, such as monthly sales reports and performance reviews.
Collaborate with the CEO to monitor performance against budget and forecast variances.
Manage the finance team, providing coaching and mentorship while supporting individual development.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including VAT returns and HMRC submissions.
Support cash flow forecasting, helping the business plan for future payments and receipts.
Serve as the financial liaison between the business, showrooms, suppliers, and customers.
Work with the management team to optimize cost management and resource allocation.
Ensure all financial internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets.
What You'll Need:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related analytical field.
A professional qualification (CIMA, ACA, AAT, or equivalent).
Extensive experience in financial management within a retail or e-commerce environment.
A strong understanding of international finance, including import/export regulations.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
The ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, solutions-driven approach with strong analytical skills.
