The Role
Credit Controller
Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Credit Controller to join an established Finance team, based out of offices in Kidderminster. Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, you will ensure all customer accounts reflect a true statement of affairs, and that any overdue invoices are collected in line with agreed terms, minimising financial loss.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in analysing & monitoring Credit Control System/Aged Debt Report to identify accounts where debt recovery action is required & carrying out agreed action.
- Assisting in assessing prospective accounts for creditworthiness & level of credit to be allowed.
- Receipt of Payments, allocation to correct account & reconciliation to ensure all invoices are paid.
- Maintaining customer records, ensuring all customer details are current.
- Assisting in assessing orders where over credit limit, placing accounts on hold using internal and external resources available.
- Recover outstanding debt by telephone, email and letter.
- Arrangement and negotiation of payment plans.
- Issue invoices daily and monthly statements (or on request).
Requirements
- Must have recent, previous credit control experience.
- Excellent numeracy and accuracy skills as well as strong communication skills.
- Good negotiation skills and the ability to be assertive but tactful.
- Good MS Office skills.
- Able to work in a team.
Based in Kidderminster.
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Up to £28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience.
