Engineering Managing Director

Location: Worcester, UK

Salary - £75,000 - £125,000 + Company Car - D.O.E.

My client is an advanced engineering company that specialises in providing engineering solutions for the automotive, aerospace and energy sectors. Their solutions are tailored to meet the unique testing needs of each client, and they pride themselves on delivering high-quality, innovative and efficient systems. They are now seeking for a talented and driven Managing Director to lead their continued growth and success.

Role Overview:
As Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company while driving strategic growth initiatives. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to set the company's vision, ensure operational excellence, and foster a culture of innovation. You will play a key role in shaping the company's future and leading the team towards achieving business objectives.

Engineering Managing Director - Key Responsibilities:
* Manage customer relationships while maintaining profitability.
* Develop new business opportunities and set and meet annual budget expectations.
* Collaborate with other General Managers within the business segment in order to grow the business.
* Execute on the company strategy to reach and exceed targets for top line revenue growth and EBITDA or operating income based on short term as well as long term goals.
* Prepare and present the Annual Plan and Long-Range Development.
* Direct overall manufacturing, installation and commercial operations.
* Assess future growth initiatives based on rigorous analysis of market attractiveness and sustainable differentiation potential.
* Improve standardisation of processes and workflow.
* Identify critical skill sets and create succession plans. Ensure metrics are in place to monitor performance against the goals and take appropriate corrective actions as required.
* Standardise a forum for sharing and implementing "Best Practices" for product and manufacturing specifications; and coordinate key performance indicators to measure and improve manufacturing capabilities and costs.
* Develop and drive continuous improvement activities in waste reduction, machine utilisation and labour costs.
* Stay current with industry trends and drive continuous improvement activities, as appropriate, to ensure the group meets current set goals and objectives as well as future needs.

Engineering Managing Director - Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, production or manufacturing.
- Must have experience as a General Manager with full P&L responsibility for at least 5years.
- Experience driving top line growth, and continued improvement in EBITA performance.
- Proven experience at director level within the engineering or manufacturing industry.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving business growth and profitability.
- Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A background in R&D or technical sales would be advantageous.

Based in Worcester this Engineering Managing Director opportunity is offering a Salary in the region of £75,000 to £125,000 dependant on experience and is commutable from Birmingham, Gloucester, Redditch, Malvern, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove and Droitwich.
